Sealaska partnered with U.S. Forest Service Thorne Bay and Craig office and the Organized Village of Kasaan to locate red and yellow cedar trees on Sealaska lands located in West Polk Inlet. Over a week in late August 2023, the partners identified cedar trees that could support cultural community projects with monumental trees.
